DISAPPEARING RIVERS

It doesnt often rain on a desert.But when it does,suddenly a raging river appear from nowhere.The lightning crackles,the thunder roars,and the driving rain strikes the hard,dry sand so fast and furiously that it begins to run over the ground.The way the water runs over a paved road after a hard rain.
Soon,the rushing water becomes deeper,and deeper in the gullies and ditches of the dessert.It crashes and thunders.It becomes a raging river that rushes across the dessert,tearing up shrubs and picking up sand and rocks.the water sweeps and tumbles along through the dessert with its load of sand,rocks,and shrubs.it destroys everything that gets in its way.But when the rain stops,the water stops moving.
Quickly it soaks into the sand.The ragging river disappear almos as suddenly as it started..
